This poster turns the c or k rule into a team project. Students work with a partner or a small group. They color the pictures and talk about how each word is spelled. Then they brainstorm words that start with c or k and write them inside the letters. Print the large poster on 4 pages and glue it together, or print the one-page 11 x 8.5 version. Hang the finished posters in your classroom or hallway.

Why I made these
I taught 3rd grade for 7 years. Now I homeschool my own kids and tutor children with reading difficulties and dyslexia. Spelling rules give kids a reason for the spelling instead of a guess. I made these so each rule is short, easy to see and easy to practice.
