  • Bingo is an easy way to review CVC words. Print the cards and the call words and you’re ready. Set 1 has words only for confident readers. Set 2 has words and pictures for newer readers. Use it for phonics warm-ups, review days, Fun Friday or sub plans.

    I taught 3rd grade for 7 years. Since then I have tutored kids with reading difficulties and dyslexia. Kids need a lot of practice reading the same pattern before it sticks. A game gets them to read those words again and again without it feeling like a worksheet.

    How to Use

    Print the bingo cards and the call words. Read a call word out loud. Students find it on their card and mark it. Use it with the whole class, a small group, or one student. It also works in literacy centers, intervention groups and review days.
