Do your students need more practice with letters and sounds? These puzzles give little hands something to do while they learn. Each puzzle has a letter on one piece and a picture on the other. Students say the sound and find the picture that starts with it. The letter a matches an apple, s matches a sock, and m matches a mailbox.
The pictures are clear and easy to name. Add new puzzles to your center as you teach each letter, or use the whole set for review any time of year.
Why I made these
I taught for years, and I've tutored kids who struggle with reading, including kids with dyslexia. Letter sounds come first. When kids know them well, everything after that gets easier. I kept these pages clean and simple so kids can focus on the letter and its sound.

How to Use
Print on cardstock, plain paper or colored paper. Laminate if you want them to last. Cut the cards apart and store them in a labeled container. Mix up the letters and pictures, then have students match each letter to the picture with that beginning sound.
